The birth of a baby is a natural and often joyful occurrence.  However, it is also a vulnerable and challenging time for women and their families.  The combination of work with motherhood entails tradeoffs.

Mothers working outside of the home face unique pressures during the postpartum transition and on an ongoing basis at balancing their various roles.

All “mom work” is hard, but moms who also work outside of the home need support and assistance with the experiences that can get in the way of a satisfying and fulfilling family life and an optimal transition to motherhood.
